Green Day is wishing fans a very punk Christmas with a special holiday song on the band's YouTube channel. Even better, it was a surprise for fans of the 29-year-old outfit from East Bay, California.
"Xmas Time Of The Year" has a vintage vibe, with lyrics by Billie Joe Armstrong. The band, which hasn't released an album in three years, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2015 class. They trio is currently working on a 12th studio album.Fans have been more than receptive to the holiday treat.
